Enhance the original innovation of crop genome editing, continuously optimize technology and improve application, and develop new technologies suitable for crop genome modification; Analyze the mechanism of plant DNA damage response and repair, and establish precise base editing system in plant; Establish new efficient genome-editing tool-delivery system in crops, and promote the applications of genome editing in agriculture.

Important crop germplasm innovation and precisely designed breeding

Focusing on the current breeding goals and major breeding bottlenecks of important crops such as rice, wheat and corn in China, we will collect excellent genetic resources through genome editing technology, carry out efficient and precise design breeding and germplasm innovation of crops, and promote the industrialization of crop genome editing breeding.
